Bobbi Brown Long Wear Eye Base

LONG WEAR??

It is a major pet peeve of mine. 
In movies they never have to touch up their lipstick and their eye shadow always stays in place. Plus they wake up and look fab! 

And ever notice when they make plans on the phone in a movie they NEVER say what time they will meet. Are they just gonna wait around all day? 

But I digress...this review is about a product that promises your eye shadow will last all day. Lets's see how it fairs....

THE PROMISE:

-non greasy

-prevents creasing & fading

-prolongs eyeshadow lifespan
-diminishes pigmentation

THE PURE TRUTH

The formulation is quite silky, and the colour range actually delves into the darker tones. Great news for those looking for an eye base for darker skin.

It definitely brightens up the eye area and creates a blendable base for the shadow to cling to. It's smoooooth.

This one earns a point for enabling the shadow to not unattractively cling in certain areas unlike that bandage dress the salesgirl talked you into.

But like all smoooooth things it falls short. Remember that boyfriend who said those sexy shots were "just for him," well this eye base doesn't entirely measure up either.

It does get a bit creasy and wouldn't be up to par for someone with oiler lids or living in a humid environment.

THE BOTTOM LINE
The diverse colour range is nice and it creates a good base for the shadow to adhere to. The price for a tube is around 30$ but if used sparingly as you should, a tube lasts for months.
However if you need to go from work to play or have oiler lids this one won't do the trick without a touch-up.

Overall a pretty nice product. I probably will repurchase to use on more mature clients who might have crepy lids and for clients with darker skin tones.
