Beauty base, or balm,
began in Korea as a treatment for post surgery patients. Catering to the desire
for pale porcelain skin most were touted as a skin whitening product and not
produced in many shades.
----Cut to large
western companies seizing upon a new marketing scheme and voila--- a brand new way to help you part with your $$$.
The Promise: An all in one sun screen, moisturizer, primer, foundation, and anti-aging product.
Really?
I don’t know how you feel about mucho
multi-tasking but I know that it never
works that well for me. Something always suffers, usually those around me
because I am c-r-a-n-k-y,
and this product proves to fall short as well.
The Pure
Truth: Sure it will act as a moisturizer but
the other claims? Not so much.
For ingredients to work efficiently they
need to be stabilized and in high amounts. Cramming a bunch of ingredients
together only reduces the efficacy.
For sun screen to be effective it must applied in a much higher quantity.
As for anti-aging I am highly skeptical
as there are no ingredients listed on most to suggest that is even a remote possibility.
The Bottom Line-- Save your cash and just
mix a moisturizer in with your foundation if you want lighter coverage.
Rating: Beauty balms gets only one kiss outta five.
Best to give this one the kiss off.
