Ahh glow. Such a nice word.
When I read that one little word I instantly imagine that light will ping brightly off my shiny hair, sparkling teeth and radiant skin.
I will shine exactly like Glenda the good witch from the Wizard of Oz.
So when I spotted these peels by Dr Gross at Sephora I simply had to give them a try.
the promise:
- gently exfoliates skin
- minmizes pore size
- reduction of dark spots
- brightens complexion
- reduce fine lines
- acne fighter
- create healthy glow
the pure truth:
There is a bunch of goodies packed into these two little product soaked pads.
The first pad is loaded with gylcolic, mandelic and willow bark. All fabulous AHA 's to exfoliate the top layer of skin.
These pads help to slowly clean out clogged pores for the acne prone, and remove any scaring/ pigmentation acne may have caused. Keeping these pores cleaned will minimize pore size and keep new acne at bay.
Anti- aging fans will love the AHA's in the first pad for fine lines and revel in the collagen booster, retinol, in the other. Combined with anti-oxidants such as C & E this two step program hits all the marks.
the bottom line:
You can take a blowtorch to my skin; I would easily be able to tolerate this product daily.
If you too have strong skin don't fall prey to the belief that you must exfoliate daily simply because you can. Healthy skin needs time to rest and regenerate.
Curious to see how it worked on someone with a "normal" skin tolerance level I recommended this to a client with moderate pigmentation issues.
I was not surprised when she emailed 2 months later to tell me how much she loved the changes she saw.
If you are battling acne by all means try to use this product daily in the beginning: when it is under control experiment with backing off. If you need extra help with deeper wrinkles or cystic acne try stepping it up and using the EXTRA strength version of this product. You will be happy you did.
rating:
Yes it is a little pricey, but a really great product. A 10 pack of runs around $45, or purchase a tub for $85 and up.**I recommend the individual pkgs. If you don't properly store and close the lid of the tubs the product can dry out.**
You will have a noticeable "glow' from the first few attempts. My co-worker barked out one morning that she thought I had "something done" to my forehead. I had no lines.
Nope. No botox. I had just done my alpha beta peel the night before. Nuff said.
5 out of 5
